Having been brought up within a business family, I started in sales at the young age of 15. Dealing with the public, handling cash and learning the importance and skills of customer care were necessary to succeed within the field. Predominantly a male environment, I also had to adjust to working in unfamiliar territory and adapt accordingly. Being a family member, it was always necessary to prove my worth and stand strong against the independent staff.

Representation

With vast experience of dealing with customers, clients, the public and business personnel it is second nature for me to feel comfortable representing a business I am working for. Having manned trade fairs in London, Germany and Malawi and travelled to different parts of Ireland and the U.K., the Netherlands and the U.S. on business trips, successfully representing companies, I have honed my communication and social skills. These skills along with those I've acquired through teaching a variety of cultures give me all the requirements needed to be able to act as an ambassador for any organisation, especially one dealing with international bodies.

Research & Development

Whilst working in the field of Specialised Seating Design for people with disabilities, with the Central Remedial Clinic, CRC in Dublin, I travelled within Ireland, to Eindhoven, Netherlands, Dusseldorf, Germany and Washington D.C., in the U.S., to broaden my development research of component and moulded seating, and motorised wheelchairs. Each trip comprised meeting patients and representatives from similar companies, testing products and attaining, logging and presenting information and research data acquired. 

Additional Skills

  • Business Plan composition for the Seating Technology department in the Central Remedial Clinic, Dublin, Ireland.

  • Proficient in SolidWorks, Adobe Photoshop, GIMP 2, Microsoft PowerPoint, Word & Excel spread sheets. AutoCAD Inventor, Pro-Engineer, Indesign, Illustrator, Rhino, Google Sketch Up, 2D CAD and Flash experience.

  • Excellent presentation skills

  • Excellent at working on own initiative and as a team player.

  • Passionate, hard-working and eager to learn and share knowledge as required.
